What were you doing before pursuing RMT?
I was working in marketing and continue to work in real estate.
Why do you want to be an RMT?
My decision to pursue massage therapy comes from my own experience with injury and living with ulcerative colitis. For several years I was largely bedridden, which took away many of the activities I loved and showed me how difficult it can be when your body limits your life. Through rehabilitation and learning how to better care for my body, I was able to gradually return to the activities I enjoy. That experience inspired me to become an RMT so I can help others reduce pain, improve movement, and get back to doing the things they love.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work/school?
Outside of school, I enjoy playing golf & volleyball, staying active in the gym, and continuing to learn about movement, rehabilitation, and sports performance. I also enjoy spending time with family and being outdoors.
What is your favourite thing about VCMT?
My favourite thing about VCMT is how comprehensive the program is. It provides a strong foundation in both the science and practical skills needed to become a confident and effective massage therapist.

What were you doing before pursuing RMT?
From checking people into hotels, helping them in the gym, to flying planes and selling real estate, guiding others into their dreams and biggest investments. These days my hands are finally doing the real guiding, one knot at a time.
Why do you want to be an RMT?
I have dreams of one day just skipping my smart phone into the ocean like a rock and never looking back. I’m ready to trade it all for real touch and helping people reconnect with their own bodies. Nothing beats the moment someone stands up lighter or laughs a little louder, reconnecting with themselves and remembering what is possible.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work/school?
I’m either up to my ears in daddy duty, ripping up trails, cannonballing into icy lakes, or hitting the gym. All while deep diving into holistic health rabbit holes, building random projects, and slowly turn my life into the ultimate game of minimalism.
What is your favourite thing about VCMT?
The instructors who somehow turn class into stand-up comedy, combined with my cohort, hands down - we’re all crammed in this glorious pressure cooker together. It feels like the best and funniest little family I’ve ever joined.
Do you speak fluently any languages other than English?
I’m fluent in Punjabi, and rapidly mastering Massageanese — the international language of happy sighs and melting muscles spoken without words. It’s quickly becoming my favourite way to communicate.

What were you doing before pursuing RMT?
Running a residential cleaning business.
Why do you want to be an RMT?
Following the loss of my parents to illness, I searched for a meaningful way to turn grief into healing. RMT represents the ‘attainable dream’ - a gateway into the medical field where I can make a tangible difference in people’s lives. I also share my story of career transition to inspire my children and my clients alike: you are never stuck. Regardless of your past, your age, or the language you speak, there is always an opportunity to rebuild and grow. I want to translate this same resilience and ‘never-give-up’ spirit into every treatment session. My goal is applying my clinical training to help patients overcome physical barriers just as I have overcome my own. Whether pain relief, stress reduction, or functional improvement, I am dedicated to supporting patients’ wellness journey with the same heart and persistence that brought me to this profession.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work/school?
In my free time, I enjoy caring for my plants, spending time in nature, hiking, walking, and exploring new experiences.
What is your favourite thing about VCMT?
